A girl is forced to......Did we play the same game?

A girl is forced to kill her mother (and unless I'm mistaken, she's still basically a child when this happens) and is convinced that she must be a sinner, which isn't such a big leap if you consider that her upbringing probably included learning about how the Sword took on its evil powers because it absorbed the sins of humanity. It's not "compassionate naïvetè" that causes this to haunt her for years, nor is it whininess-- it's a normal response to what amounts to child abuse (from the people enforcing the rules). You're also incorrect about her wanting unhappiness, I think-- what she wants more than anything is to die, at least in the beginning, and she is unhappy because she has to keep living while those around her die. ...Also, what you perceive as whininess (her constantly going back to the past, etc.) definitely doesn't impede her capability as a ruler or as a fighter. In fact, it gives her strength in many of her fights. Maybe it's because I have depression myself and can understand feeling worthless to some degree, but I found this main character to be a hell of a lot more relatable than all the perky ditzy airhead MCs that appear in at least half the otome games I've played. This MC may believe herself to be useless, but in reality she's anything but.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10448890180342248155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853867089723193988.post-77923765544554770282017-01-25T05:23:51.231+01:002017-01-25T05:23:51.231+01:00Lmao ...to me it's a bit long winded but an av...Lmao ...to me it's a bit long winded but an average story...fun to see others point of view of this one.
~Colleen~Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14993478160244097418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853867089723193988.post-14965504095764303992016-08-21T08:32:03.996+02:002016-08-21T08:32:03.996+02:00God the female main character is such a whiner in ...God the female main character is such a whiner in this one. It irritates me that I gave the main character my name at the beginning. I wonder if she's so completely horrible in all of the story routes with other male protagonists or if it's just Gentoka's story. She is so ignorant that it rubs me the wrong way. I know some generous people may see it as Compassionate naivety but in my eyes her biggest sin is not killing her mother, it's living in the past, refusing to take even a step forward unless it's for her twisted version of atonement and dragging all those in the present down with her. She's so absorbed with wanting unhappiness cause she doesn't deserve anything and she's a sinner that it makes me want to hit the ipad screen...lol. I haven't finished this story yet. I plan to try one more route afterward if it's another wallow in my personal sadness, poor me story then I'll delete the app since this is the only shall we date game that I really feel so strongly negative about so far.Casandra (KC)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15034926545938535725noreply@blogger.com
